I am Michael Foster and I am trying my best to shape myself as a PeopleSoft Developer.I have a breif overview of how PS works like knowledge of PeopleTools,Application Engine,SQR etc.I have worked in a Project but it was basically Production Support so I couldnt know much about Implementing PS etc.Can you guide me of how an Implementation is done in the perspective of a Technical Developer.What are the basic things we do and can you provide me any functional specifications which functional people give to technical guys.I want to be a part of an Implementation and I am looking forward for that.Can you provide me any documentation of any Implemtation.I would really appreciate your help if you can guide me in this aspect.Thanks.you may reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org

A good way to get implementation skills is to join an implementation team (consulting firm). There are quite a few consulting firms offering PeopleSoft implementation services. Another good way to get implementation experience is to find a new PeopleSoft customer or a customer upgrading from 7.5 to an 8.x/9.0 version and try to get hired by that customer.
